Whatcha doing?

With such incredible stuff going on in my neighbouring blogs, I thought I'd post a little 'work in progress' pictures of a model I'm working on. I'm still getting used to polygon modelling. My last attempt at modelling my brother's Nissan Primera was doneusing NURBS curves. I found that model too fragmented - light didnt bounce correctly because the curves were in the wrong places. So, I started from scratch.

To be honest, I modelled this to be a christmas present to my brother but I didnt finish it in time. It took far longer than expected to model the body of the car - it is very complex, the smallest details can make big differences.

It has been a valuable learning experience so far. Regardless of it's 'technical wizardry' which may or may not come in handy when making architecture, the delight in getting something right after hours of failed attempts is indeed deeply satisfying.
